Sewer Video Inspection

Video Camera Inspections in Tulsa, OK

See Beyond the Surface With Video Camera

We are pleased to announce to Orange County that O’Connor Plumbing now does video/camera sewer inspections. Many customers don’t know what a video/camera sewer inspection is for and we are going to explain why you would eventually need this service.

Drain cleaning is an everyday thing at O’Connor Plumbing and 90% of the drain calls are caused by either roots or collapsed lines or bellies in the sewer line. What tends to happen is that the plumber goes out on a drain cleaning call, clears the stoppage and pulls back roots.

Well roots in a sewer line mean one thing and that means the sewer line is breached (broken). Anytime there are roots in the line, the permanent way to fix the problem is to find the break and dig it up and repair the sewer line. The best way to do this is to camera the sewer line or video inspect the line. This is done by sending a special cable that has a camera on it.

It attaches to a video monitor and can see everything in your sewer line. Once you see the root intrusion, belly or collapsed sewer line the plumber then uses a locator that finds the camera head which in return locates the problem area for the plumber to make the necessary plumbing repairs.

Most plumbing companies don’t have this tool. This is a special and great service that we now provide to all our customers. It saves time on diagnosing your plumbing problem and damage to the area that needs to be dug up. By doing a video inspection on a problem sewer line it will save you money in the long run because your sewer will be fixed permanently and you will not have a recurring problem costing you more money.

If you are having constant drain clogs, it is a good idea to camera your sewer line. Please give us a call at 918-300-3988 to permanently fix your drain issues!

FAQ

Find Answers To Your Questions
  • What can I put in my garbage disposal?
Garbage disposals are not macerators and will only break up soft debris. Mashed potatoes, cooked carrots, eggs etc. are ok to put in the disposal. Things like bones, coffee grounds, egg shells or any hard product will wear the blades and jam the disposal. You should always run water to the disposal to help break down the foods and flush through the drain. Call the professionals at O’Connor Plumbing for help with your disposal
  • Is it safe to use chemical drain cleaners?

Drain cleaners are very toxic. If you ever look on the back of the product you will notice at least 3 warning labels. These are not very good products to have laying around your house especially if you have kids or pets. These toxic chemicals are also very bad for your pipes, causing them to deteriorate from the inside out. If this happens your drain lines will need to be replaced. There are enzymes and friendly bacteria products that will keep grease and sludge from building up inside of your pipes.

  • Why does the toilet keep running?
This is probably the most commonly asked plumbing question. In most cases it is caused by the flapper not closing on or making a proper seal around the flush valve. If the flapper is not closing, then jiggle the handle and that will normally fix the issue. If the flapper is worn out and not properly sealing, then you will have to have the flapper replaced. Either way if the flapper does not seal the water will leak into the toilet and the tank will not fill with water to push the float up and turn off the supply of water.
  • Do I need a tankless water heater?
Tankless water heaters, while at the front of technology, aren’t the solution for every house. Sometimes you are better off staying with your conventional heater. Here at O’Connor Plumbing we have tankless water heater experts that can provide you with a tankless or tank style heater that best suits your home.
